Gut ist, wenn die Idee gut ist

The Nordic Large Cap Blogging Index

von Mark Howells-Mead

The Swedish office of Burson-Marsteller has conducted a survey of corporate blog use in the Nordic region and has found that of the 132 companies surveyed – covering market capitalization of over €1bn – almost 10% have at least one blog online relating to their business. This in comparison to 17.9% amongst the 56 Swedish Large Cap-listed companies and a favourable comparison with the 14.8% of international Fortune 500 companies, which were surveyed early in 2008 by Burson-Marsteller. In general terms, Sweden has proportionally far more corporate blogs than Finland and Norway (each with around 4%) and Denmark (none at all amongst the 25 companies surveyed).

A white paper can be downloaded in PDF format from the Social Media Release website whilst charts and slide presentations can be found within the original Swedish press release and at SlideShare. More detailed overviews of the information are also available online at the personal website of Hans Kullin and the Burson-Marsteller Digital Perspective blog in English, and at the Burson-Marsteller Paris blog in French.
